WHO: artists, writers, bloggers, creatives, academics and poets.?WHAT: collaborative zine opportunity for visual commentary on "Where is Feminism now" through ideas and debate. Any method accepted: comic strip, manga, photomontage, text, embroidered, diagrams, numerical. Submissions must be A4 size hard copy or attachment that is prinrtable as A4. Possible topics could be growing up as a girl, consumerism controlling female gender, women and work, women and God, women and violence, women and children, women ageing, women and race. Brief for collaborative zine for conference
“Where do you think Feminism is now” Everyone who takes part will get a copy of the zine as long as you give us your forwarding address, post-code or zip-code.
This Zine is seen as a chance to experiment, to be creative and say what you want to say. Anyone and everyone can take part.
This Zine is being produced as part of the conference ending Feminist Futures.
We would like you as artists, writers, bloggers, poets, academics everyone and anyone to visualise in what ever way you wish through image, image and text or just text what you want to discuss about what your feelings are on “Feminism now”.
We have put some headings in but these do not need to be kept to in any way, they are just starting points. It is totally up to you what you want to work from or do.
The Titles are: Expectations to growing up as a girl, consumerism controlling female gender, women and work, women and God, women and violence, women and children, women ageing, women and sex, women and race, women as parents, women and health and wealth, women just being now.
Format: Pages Must be A4 but you can do anything from producing one page to as many as you want.
Please feel free to use any process or medium.
Artwork/text/image etc can be sent as hard copy or as an attachment. Hard copies will be sent back as long as you put your name and contact details on the back. Please see below for attachment instructions.
Artwork: If possible please send hard copy. The artwork for the zine will be copied so if you are sending original artwork please make sure it’s flat. Tonal work will work best/black and white.

A4 (Image should fit within 210mm x 297mm maximum)
File format: PDF (high resolution, preferably 200dpi, saved with compression)
JPEG (high resolution, preferably 200dpi, saved with compression)
